ABOUT // HISTORY

What We’ve Built Goes Beyond Metal.

Berry’s Welding has been part of Fort Wayne since 1980.

Where decades of knowledge meet modern fabrication

What began as a small welding operation has grown into a shop where decades of hands-on knowledge meets modern fabrication technology — and where customers still walk through the door with something unusual and talk directly to someone who knows how to help.

Today, owner Boyd Berry leads Berry’s with a straightforward philosophy: do quality work, give people an honest answer, and take care of the community who puts their trust in you.

It’s an approach shaped by Berry’s beginnings — and Boyd’s determination to keep it moving forward.

It Started with Fred.

Frederick Arthur Berry founded Berry’s Welding from his garage in 1980.

As the work continued to grow, so did the shop. Berry’s moved to Keystone in 1982, and into its current Fort Wayne location in 1985. Fred built the business through hard work, practical knowledge, and a willingness to take the kind of projects that didn’t always have an obvious place to go.

““Where will these people go?””

Fred Berry — It was a simple question, but it captured something important: there should always be a place willing to take a look.
